Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies

A twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Betty Crocker Cherry Chocolate Chip Cake Mix
  • Cup Butter - Room Temp
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Eggs
  • Cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda

Instructions
 

  • Combine the cake mix with the baking powder. Mix well.
  • Beat eggs by hand in a separate bowl.
  • Add dry mix with eggs, butter and vanilla in mixer. Beat on high until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Bake cookies 10 - 12 minutes until just starting to get golden on bottom.
  • Cool on wire rack.

Notes

You will want to hydrate the dough.  I don't suggest preheating the oven so that you give yourself at least 10 minutes to hydrate.  Your cookies will taste better if the dough is hydrated.
