The BEST Beer Brats

This beer brat recipe will be your go to. These are absolutely the best and are a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Package Johnsonville Original Brats
  • ½ Large Onion Thinly sliced
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Finely minced
  • 3 Tbsps Butter
  • 1 Bottle Beer of choice

Optional Toppings

  • Mustard
  • Sauerkraut
  • Ketchup
  • Onions
  • Buns

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your gril to 365 degrees
  • Sear brats for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until they have a nice sear and are partially cooked. You want them to be browned on the outside.
  • Melt butter in skillet. Sauté onions in butter for 7-10 minutes until translucent. Add garlic and continue to sauté for an additional 3 minutes, till fragrant.
  • Add beer to skillet and bring to a simmer.
  • Once beer is simmering, add brats and cook for 20-25 minutes until the brats are cooked through. If your brats aren’t covered by beer, add another bottle.
  • Serve brats with toppings of your choice, with or without a bun.
