Happy #frugalfriday! I so look forward to a day when our dollars will go longer than they do currently! When will that be? I wish I knew! Until then, it is my goal to come up with tasty creations that will NOT taste like you are pinching penny’s. I come from a very modest background, so I can assure you I have had many years of working on these dishes.

Todays, my easy peasy lettuce wrap recipe. What’s more? It’s really low in calories. This one is a win/win for me. It’s also SUPER easy, which on a busy Friday is a huge plus. You can make this one in less than 30 minutes. I like adding crushed red pepper but this one is optional. I tend to add spice to just about everything that I cook. This dish is absolutely perfect without the pepper.
Recipe Highlights:
- I don’t add any salt to this one. You can add salt to taste, but I would encourage you to wait until the dish has a chance to marinate before doing so.
- Use fresh garlic. I have used the bottled stuff and it works in a pinch. I do think that fresh is best.
- As above, powdered will work but if you have fresh, it tastes best.
Enjoy! Be sure and tag me if you make these and let me know what you think! #tasty #lowcalorie
