We love meatballs in this house. When I make a batch, we end up using them for so many different things. I made a batch this weekend and we are using them for meatball subs tonight. You can find the meatball recipe here. You won’t be disappointed by these!

The sauce??? I love red sauce. The thing is, I think that a red sauce is so very different depending on how you are serving it. For meatball subs?….I use the sauce recipe below. You will (eventually) have a different sauce on this site for so many different things. I do think that, depending on the finished recipe, the red sauce needs to be tweaked.

My meatball sub sauce is a rustic sauce that works perfectly with the meatballs on the sub. I like how chunky it is and it has the perfect balance. This one would be great as a dipping sauce for french bread or bread sticks. Ok, it would be great on pasta. I do typically just use this one for subs. One of the great things about it, it’s quick and easy. This sauce will be ready to serve by the time the meatballs are ready to serve. That does make this one a GREAT weekly go to.
For the meatballs, be sure and use my AWESOME meatball recipe. This is my go to for meatballs that I use for EVERYTHING!. Sometimes, I use these with my favorite BBQ sauce as a tailgate appy. They are tasty and easy!
