While traditional lasagna recipes typically include ground meat, tomato sauce, and cheese, modern variations have become more creative and diverse. Vegetarian lasagnas are now popular, using ingredients like spinach, mushrooms, and eggplant to replace the meat. Gluten-free lasagnas are also available for those with dietary restrictions.
Some modern lasagna recipes also incorporate different types of cheese, such as goat cheese, gouda, or feta. And while the classic tomato sauce is still a popular choice, some recipes use pesto, alfredo sauce, or even a white wine sauce.
I love a traditional lasagna, which this recipe follows. I will also come back to share one of my restaurant favorites, rosemary chicken lasagna. I LOVE lasagna and every version there is!
