Pickled onions are one of my favorite additions to any dish. They are great on salads, hot dogs, tacos, burgers….I can keep going but you get the point. I love not only the taste but how easy they are to make. My recipe doesn’t require any cooking. You simply mix the ingredients and add to the onions. Easy peasy….quick and tasty!
I use white vinegar for mine and add some allspice and peppercorns. The flavor is spot on. I love that you don’t need to cook these. We recently did a hot dog bar and these were one of the hot additions to each dog. #tasty #quickandeasy
Cooking out is one of my favorite things and when we have a cookout I always have some of these ready. First, they are so easy to get ready. Second, they will go with any meal. If you are adding them to a burger/hotdog bar….check. Maybe you are doing something a little more elegant….add them to a salad or dip. Check, check!
Just look at that red goodness! The picture is after the onions have marinated for 24 hours. They will be lighter initially and darken as they marinate. Love them and they are so tasty on so many things.

What do you do with your pickled onions? I would love to know how you use them. I hope you have the chance to try my recipe. I know that it will not disappoint. Let me know if you have the chance to try this one. I look forward to your creations!
Happy cooking from my kitchen to yours!
